This week designates the first opportunity for the campaign to begin petitioning to get Dea Foy on the November 2026 general ballot for Texas District 5 voters. As unfair as it has been that this required signature collection activity was delayed to start May 28th, with less than 30-days to petition; instead of 120 days after the primaries; the campaign is considering every effort to get the 600 "wet signatures" for an official ballot application. Remaining pragmatic; nothing less than an average 21-signatures (or more) per day will get it done. Therefore, the strategy is to pursue LARGE groups of registered voters like farmer's markets, festivals or other fellowship activities. To be clear, resources will not be used going door-to-door; however, any one person wanting to sign the petition, we will get it to you. It is in the best interest of time and resources we only go forward with a winning strategy.
